About Grove

We shipped the tools you already use.Now we're building what comes next.

Grove is an AI tax workflow platform for professional preparers: one system from client onboarding through return delivery, replacing the patchwork of organizers, portals, e-sign tools, and PDFs.

Founders

We shipped the last generation of this software.

One decade of building tax workflow products. One decade of waiting for the technology to be ready. Now both, at once.

What we believe

Four ideas that shape Grove.

Tax software has been built to maximize feature counts. We're building for the one outcome that matters: a return that's done, delivered, and remembered.

01

Preparers own the return.

AI organizes the inputs and drafts the work. The CPA's judgment is the product. Grove makes that judgment faster, not optional.

02

The interface is a conversation.

The 40-page PDF organizer is a 1995 metaphor. Adaptive Q&A, written for a phone screen, is what completes three times more often.

03

Delivery is part of the work.

A return earns its fee in the last ten minutes a client spends with it. We treat handoff with the same care as the math behind it.

04

Built alongside the firms who use it.

No boardroom demos, no roadmaps written from afar. Every feature ships from a real workflow problem a real preparer is having this week.

Our story

Disrupting the product we helped build.

The old workflow wasn't broken because nobody tried. It was constrained by the tools available at the time. Grove exists because the underlying technology finally caught up to the problem.

Tax intake, workflow, and delivery have been the industry's most expensive unsolved problem for more than a decade. Every preparer knows the pattern: a 40-page PDF organizer that never comes back, hours spent renaming and reordering client documents, and a delivery experience that doesn't match the work that went into the return.

Our CEO, Uday Nandam, spent 12+ years trying to solve this from inside the industry's largest companies, Intuit and Thomson Reuters. He shipped the products preparers use every day. The honest conclusion: the technology genuinely wasn't ready.

LLMs changed that. Grove exists to deliver on the original promise of tools like Intuit Link: an AI client interview that actually completes, a checklist tailored to each return, workpapers organized the way preparers want them, and a delivery experience clients remember. Built by the people who know what was missing, now that it's finally possible.

The team

Deep tax workflow knowledge, large-scale engineering discipline.

Our team has built products at companies that tax professionals and their clients already trust every day.
